# Proxmox alerts by email, Discord and Google Chat

NexoVirt watches your Proxmox hosts and guests with alert rules for downtime, sustained CPU, RAM or disk load, unhealthy agents, backups and plan limits. Alerts land in the panel inbox and go out by email and webhook, including Discord and Google Chat.

## What it does

Rule-based alerts to the inbox, email and webhooks, including Discord and Google Chat.

- ### Ready-made rules

Guest down, node unreachable, sustained CPU, RAM and disk, agent unhealthy, failed or stale backups, plan traffic and plan expiry, each with threshold, duration, severity and cooldown.
- ### The most specific rule wins

Global defaults with overrides per host, node or guest. A mute switch takes a single guest out of alerting.
- ### Every channel

An inbox with acknowledge and resolve, email, and any number of webhooks: Discord embeds, Google Chat cards or plain JSON, with a live payload preview.

## How to use it

Up and running in 3 steps, all in the panel.

1. Tune rules and global settings in Settings, Alerts.
2. Add a webhook endpoint (the provider is detected from the URL) and send a test.
3. Work through fired alerts in the Alerts inbox. The bell shows the active count.

## Alerting & webhooks FAQ

Which alerts does Proxmox send by itself?Proxmox VE notifications cover backup jobs, replication, fencing and package updates. They have no rule for a stopped VM or for sustained CPU, RAM or disk load, which is what NexoVirt adds.

Can I send Proxmox alerts to Discord?Yes. Add a webhook endpoint with your Discord webhook URL. NexoVirt detects Discord and sends a colour-coded embed per alert. Google Chat gets a card, any other URL a JSON payload.
