# Customer portal: each customer manages only their own servers

The NexoVirt customer portal gives each customer a slim area where each customer manages only the servers they own: power, console, live metrics, SSH keys, IPs and 2FA. Ownership is checked on the server for every request, and customers never see Proxmox or your admin panel.

## What it does, part by part

A scoped self-service portal, so customers manage their own servers. Each part with a real screenshot.

### A home for every server they own

Customers land on a list of just their own VMs and containers.

- OS, status, IPv4 and IPv6, cores, RAM and disk for each server.
- No node tree, no cluster internals, no other customer's servers.
- An ownership check on every row, done on the server.
- Served from the panel database, so it opens at once.

### Self-service within a budget

Give a customer a resource pack and they create and delete their own servers in the portal.

- Cores, memory, disk and a server count as the budget.
- Node, storage, network and IPs come from the pack.
- Only the operating systems and guest types you allow.
- Checked on the server for every request, never only in the browser.

### Full control without seeing Proxmox

A complete control panel gives customers root-level control of their VPS.

- Terminal and VNC console in the browser, proxied through your domain.
- Live CPU, RAM and per-drive disk charts.
- Start, stop, shut down and reboot with live task status.
- Reinstall from an OS template, reset the password, read the activity log.

![Their own SSH keys in the NexoVirt panel](https://nexovirt.com/assets/img/screenshots/portal-ssh-keys-light.webp?v=1792068738)

### Their own SSH keys

Customers keep a key library that new servers receive automatically.

- Each key with its SHA-256 fingerprint.
- Merged into new and reinstalled servers through cloud-init or LXC.
- Key login works the moment the server boots.
- Strictly per user; the key body is never shown back.

![Every IP, clearly listed in the NexoVirt panel](https://nexovirt.com/assets/img/screenshots/portal-ips-light.webp?v=1792068738)

### Every IP, clearly listed

One list of a customer's addresses.

- Every IPv4 and IPv6 address with the server that holds it.
- Allocated from your pools, so two servers never collide.
- Kept on reinstall, released on delete.
- You keep control of ranges, gateways and DNS.

![Password and two-factor in the NexoVirt panel](https://nexovirt.com/assets/img/screenshots/portal-security-light.webp?v=1792068738)

### Password and two-factor

Customers change their own password and protect the account with the same 2FA flow admins use.

- Change the password with the current one, no ticket needed.
- TOTP with any authenticator app.
- Eight single-use recovery codes, shown once.
- The secret is encrypted at rest.
- Enforced at login once it is on.

## Why not just use the Proxmox web UI?

Proxmox VE runs the virtualization. NexoVirt adds the layer around it. Customer portal, task by task:

| Task | Proxmox web UI | NexoVirt |
|---|---|---|
| A customer reboots their VM | Needs a Proxmox user with rights on that VM | A button in the portal, ownership checked |
| A customer adds an SSH key | Edit cloud-init per VM | Personal key library, injected into new servers |
| Your brand on the portal | Proxmox look and name | Your logo and domain with a paid plan |

## How to use it

Up and running in 3 steps, all in the panel.

1. Create a customer and assign the guests they own.
2. They sign in to the portal and manage only their own servers.
3. Add your logo and domain with white-label (Pro plan and up).
