A Convoy alternative with the hosting shop built in

Convoy and NexoVirt both put a panel on top of Proxmox VE. NexoVirt also sells your servers: a shop, payments, VAT invoices and modules for web hosting and game servers, in one install.

No card needed for the trial.

Two Proxmox panels, two scopes

Convoy is a panel for your Proxmox servers that connects to a billing system. NexoVirt is the panel and the billing system.

  • Both talk to Proxmox VE through its API
  • Both give customers a panel with consoles and reinstalls
  • Both have an API and IP address management
  • Only NexoVirt takes orders and payments itself

What NexoVirt adds on top of a Proxmox panel

The parts you would otherwise add with a billing system and more software.

A shop and billing

Products, billing periods, setup fees, coupons, Stripe, PayPal and a prepaid balance.

VAT invoices

A numbered PDF per payment, with OSS rates, reverse charge and credit notes.

Web hosting and game servers

Plesk, HestiaCP, Pterodactyl and Pelican modules in the same shop.

LXC containers

Containers next to KVM VMs, with one-click LXC apps.

Migration and failover

Moves between hosts and clusters, load balancing and assisted failover.

Support and status

Tickets with attachments, an FAQ and a status page with uptime.

Moving from Convoy to NexoVirt

Your VMs stay on Proxmox. NexoVirt adopts them where they run.

  1. Install NexoVirt

One command on a small VM or LXC next to your nodes.

  2. Add your nodes

Running VMs are adopted without a reinstall or a migration.

  3. Assign owners

Give each customer their servers, from the panel or the REST API.

  4. Open the shop

Products and prices for new orders, or keep your billing system on the API.

What NexoVirt does not do

Check these before you switch.

  • No source code for the panel

The panel is closed source. Only the node agent is public.

  • No ready-made billing modules

There is no Blesta, WHMCS or Paymenter module. They can drive NexoVirt through the REST API.

  • Stripe and PayPal only

The built-in shop has no other gateways and bills in one currency per install.

  • No domains, cPanel or DirectAdmin

No domain registration, and web hosting runs on Plesk and HestiaCP only.

Hosters already run on NexoVirt

Hosters such as Norway-vps run their VPS business on NexoVirt.

Convoy alternative FAQ

Is NexoVirt a Convoy alternative?

Yes. Both are control panels on top of Proxmox VE with a customer panel. Convoy connects to a billing system such as Blesta or Paymenter; NexoVirt has its own shop, payments and invoices and also provisions web hosting and game servers.

How do the prices compare?

On 5 Nov 2026 Convoy listed $6 per node per month for commercial use and free use for personal and nonprofit setups. NexoVirt costs EUR 29 a month for 5 nodes, EUR 79 for 20 nodes with the shop and EUR 149 for unlimited nodes, incl. VAT; the Community Edition is free on 2 nodes for any use.

Can I keep my VMs when I move from Convoy?

Yes. NexoVirt adopts running VMs on your Proxmox nodes without a reinstall or a migration. You then assign each server to its customer.

Does NexoVirt work with Blesta or Paymenter?

There is no ready-made module. Any billing system can drive NexoVirt through the REST API and send customers into the portal with one-time login links. Most hosters use the built-in shop instead.

Is NexoVirt open source?

No. The panel is closed source; the node agent that runs on each Proxmox node is public under the MIT licence. Convoy publishes its source on GitHub under its own licence agreement.

Does NexoVirt support LXC containers?

Yes. NexoVirt manages KVM virtual machines and LXC containers on Proxmox VE, including one-click LXC apps.
