Observability

Alerting & webhooks

A rule-based engine that watches your collected metrics and inventory, no Proxmox calls on the hot path, and notifies through an inbox, email and webhooks.

What it does

The capabilities behind this feature, all self-hosted, all in one panel.

Eight rule types

Guest down, node unreachable, sustained CPU/RAM/disk, agent unhealthy, plan traffic and plan expiry, with thresholds, durations, severity, channels and cooldowns.

Most-specific wins

Seeded global defaults plus per-host/node/guest overrides; a per-guest “mute” switch opts a guest out entirely.

Multi-channel delivery

An in-panel inbox with ack/resolve, email via the outbox, and multiple webhook endpoints: generic JSON, Discord rich embeds and Google Chat cards, with a live payload preview.

How to use it

Up and running in a few steps.

  • Tune rules and global settings under Settings → Alerts.
  • Add webhook endpoints (provider auto-detected) and send a test.
  • Triage fired alerts from the Alerts inbox; the bell shows the active count.
