Do I need Proxmox Backup Server to use backups in NexoVirt?
No. On-demand and scheduled backups work with any Proxmox backup storage. PBS adds deduplication, verification and encryption, which NexoVirt manages once you connect a server.
What is the difference between a Proxmox snapshot and a backup?
A snapshot freezes a guest's state on the same storage for a fast rollback, it is not a copy. A backup is a separate copy that survives losing the disk. Use snapshots before changes and backups for recovery.
