A free DynDNS name for every Proxmox node
NexoVirt gives each Proxmox node a free, stable name under nxvdns.link that always points at the node's current public IPv4 and IPv6. The agent on the node keeps it up to date, so a home or office connection with a changing address stays reachable.
What it does
A free nxvdns.link name per node that follows its public IPv4 and IPv6.
-
One switch per node
Enable DynDNS on the node page under Network. The name appears with its current addresses and status.
-
IPv4 and IPv6
The agent on the node reports both address families every five minutes.
-
Your own label
Claim a label in your NexoVirt account and the name follows it, for example pve-1.yourlabel.nxvdns.link.
-
Every name in one list
Settings, DynDNS lists all nodes with their names, grouped by public IPv4.
-
The VPN endpoint
When DynDNS is on, the node's WireGuard configs use the name as their endpoint, so devices keep connecting after an address change.
-
Included in every edition
DynDNS works on a claimed install, including the free Community Edition. How many nodes get a name depends on your plan.
How to use it
Up and running in 3 steps, all in the panel.

DynDNS names FAQ
Does DynDNS cost anything?
No. It is included in every edition, including the free Community Edition; the install only has to be claimed to a NexoVirt account. Paid plans allow names for more nodes.
What happens when I switch it off?
The name is released and stops resolving. Switching it on again gives the node a name again.
