From order to a running HestiaCP account

Nobody creates users or domains by hand.

  1. The customer picks a product
    Step 1

    In your portal shop or on your website through the WordPress storefront plugin.

  2. They enter the domain and pay
    Step 2

    Stripe, PayPal or their prepaid balance. The invoice is written with the right VAT.

  3. NexoVirt creates the account
    Step 3

    A HestiaCP user with the package of the product, then the web domain on it.

  4. The customer sets a password
    Step 4

    On the service page in your portal. NexoVirt passes it to HestiaCP and does not store it.

  5. They sign in to HestiaCP
    Step 5

    The portal shows the domain, the username and a link to your HestiaCP server.

HestiaCP billing that follows every renewal

The HestiaCP account changes when the subscription changes.

  • Suspended when unpaid

    At the paid date an unpaid account is suspended in HestiaCP. Paid again, it is unsuspended.

  • Package change

    A move to another product switches the HestiaCP user to that package and charges only the days left.

  • Deleted at the end

    A cancelled account runs until its paid date and is deleted after the grace days of the product.

  • Retries and an alert

    When HestiaCP does not answer, NexoVirt retries with growing pauses and alerts you after repeated failures.

  • Least-privilege access key

    The access key only needs the user, package and web domain commands NexoVirt runs. It is stored encrypted.

  • Self-signed certificates

    If the TLS check fails, pin the certificate fingerprint. The connection stays verified.

Connect HestiaCP in four steps

You need an access key on your HestiaCP server and one product per package.

  1. Create an access key

    An access key of the HestiaCP admin. Turn the API on and allow the address of your NexoVirt panel.

  2. Add the server

    Web hosting, Servers: enter the address and the key as ACCESS_KEY:SECRET_KEY. NexoVirt tests it and reads the packages.

  3. Create a product

    Pick the server and a package on the Provisioning tab, then set prices and billing periods.

  4. Sell it

    In your portal shop, or on your website with the WordPress plugin.

What is HestiaCP billing?

It is the part that sells hosting on a HestiaCP server: products with prices, checkout, payment, creating the account, renewals, suspending unpaid accounts and deleting them at the end. HestiaCP itself only runs the webspaces. NexoVirt adds the shop and billing and drives HestiaCP through its API.

What does NexoVirt create on the HestiaCP server?

One HestiaCP user per service with the package you picked for the product, and the domain the customer entered at checkout as its first web domain.

How do customers sign in to HestiaCP?

They set their panel password on the service page in the NexoVirt portal and sign in at your HestiaCP server with the username shown there. NexoVirt passes the password to HestiaCP and does not store it. HestiaCP has no API for a one-click sign-in.

What happens when a customer does not pay?

The HestiaCP user is suspended at the paid date and unsuspended as soon as the renewal is paid. After the grace days of the product it is deleted, unless the customer paid in the meantime.

Which access key does NexoVirt need?

An access key of the HestiaCP admin user with the API turned on and your panel's address allowed. For least privilege, use an own API group with only the commands NexoVirt runs; HestiaCP's own billing group is not enough.

Can I sell HestiaCP and Plesk hosting from the same shop?

Yes. Each hosting product points to one server, Plesk or HestiaCP, and customers order both from the same portal, next to VPS and game servers.

Which NexoVirt plan do I need?

Provisioning modules are part of the shop, which comes with the Business and Unlimited plans. Both are flat monthly prices by node, never a fee per client or webspace.
