Proxmox billing system and VPS shop in one panel

NexoVirt has billing built into the Proxmox panel: a VPS shop with automatic provisioning, Stripe and PayPal, prepaid balances, EU VAT invoices and a WordPress storefront. One install instead of a billing system, a panel and the module that keeps them in sync.

Why run billing and Proxmox in two systems?

Selling VPS on Proxmox usually means three moving parts: a billing system such as WHMCS for orders and invoices, a panel for the servers, and a module that syncs the two. Every update of one side can break the other, and a failed sync leaves a paid order without a server or a cancelled customer with a running one.

NexoVirt keeps the order, the payment, the invoice and the server in the same database. There is nothing to sync.

  • No sync module

The shop creates, renews, suspends and deletes servers itself, in the same panel that runs them.

  • Paid means delivered

A server is created only after the payment gateway confirmed the payment, never because a browser came back.

  • Renewals on their own

Due servers renew from the balance or the subscription. Unpaid ones are suspended and resume once paid.

  • No per-VM fees

Flat monthly plans for the panel. Every VPS you sell on your nodes costs you nothing extra.

Payments and invoices in detail

What is new in NexoVirt 1.3.49?

Released with version 1.3.49 as a normal in-place update.

Customer groups

Groups such as companies or private customers, with a company sign-up, their own rules and a discount on every price.

Manual or automatic setup

Choose per customer whether a paid order becomes a server on its own or waits for you to set it up by hand.

Service products

Sell dedicated servers or any other service. An order fires a webhook to your system and the customer gets a Manage link.

Free products

Products at 0.00 without a payment step, with a limit per customer against abuse.

Allowed images per product

Pick which OS templates or groups a product may be ordered with.

Internal network only

Products whose servers get a private address and reach the internet through NAT, without a public IP.

How does an order become a running server?

From a visitor on your website to a customer signed in to their server, without a hand on your side.

  1. A visitor picks a plan
    Step 1

Your website shows current plans and prices from the storefront. The Order button leads into your portal.

  2. They sign up
    Step 2

Email confirmation by link or code, optional Turnstile and an optional FraudRecord check before the account is active.

  3. They configure the order
    Step 3

Billing period, location, OS, add-ons and a coupon, then they accept your terms and, if you want, the withdrawal waiver.

  4. They pay
    Step 4

By card with Stripe or with PayPal, once or as a subscription, or straight from a prepaid balance.

  5. The invoice is written
    Step 5

Once the gateway confirmed the payment, NexoVirt books it and creates the invoice with the right VAT.

  6. The server is created
    Step 6

On a node with room, from the OS template they picked. The customer gets an email and manages the server in the portal.

How do payments and invoices work?

Stripe and PayPal for the money, one invoice per payment with the VAT rule of the customer's country.

The NexoVirt invoice list with numbered invoices per payment and VAT per country
Stripe and PayPal

Enable one or both. Per product: a recurring subscription, a prepaid balance or the customer's choice. Card data never touches your panel.

An invoice per payment

Numbered without gaps, as a PDF with your company details and the customer's billing address. Customers download them in the portal.

EU VAT, OSS and reverse charge

Domestic VAT, OSS rates for other EU countries, reverse charge with a VIES check of the VAT ID, export outside the EU, or small business without VAT.

Credit notes and exports

Refunds get a credit note. Invoices per month as CSV or ZIP for your accountant, payments as CSV.

Can I sell VPS from my own website?

A WordPress plugin

A shortcode and a block render pricing cards in your theme. Cached, so a slow panel never slows your site.

Always the current prices

Plans, prices, billing periods, locations and extras come live from the panel. Change a price once, every page follows.

Your OS catalog

Show the operating systems you offer with their logos and versions, per product.

Sign-up on your page

Optionally, the sign-up form sits on your WordPress page and is relayed to the panel with the same limits and bot checks.

The NexoVirt storefront settings with the public id and allowed origins for the WordPress plugin

Yes. The storefront puts your live plans on your site, the order runs in your portal.

How does the shop keep fraud and abuse out?

Checks at sign-up and at payment, before a server ever exists.

NexoVirt registration settings with email confirmation, manual approval, profile fields and Cloudflare Turnstile
Confirmed email first

A link or a 6-digit code. An account cannot sign in or order before its address is confirmed.

Bots kept out

Cloudflare Turnstile, a honeypot, rate limits per network and email address, and the login jail for repeated attempts.

FraudRecord check

New sign-ups are checked against FraudRecord. Block a hit or hold it for review. Only hashes of the data leave your panel.

Manual approval

Optionally, new accounts wait until you approve them, with an alert and an email to you.

Proxmox billing FAQ

What is a Proxmox billing system?

It is the part of a hosting setup that sells servers and collects the money: products with prices, orders, payments, invoices, renewals and suspension of unpaid servers. Proxmox VE does not include one. NexoVirt builds it into the panel that runs your Proxmox nodes, so an order, its payment, its invoice and the server live in one place.

Is NexoVirt a WHMCS alternative for Proxmox?

For selling VPS on your own Proxmox nodes, yes: the shop takes orders, Stripe and PayPal payments, writes VAT invoices, renews and suspends servers and creates them automatically, without a separate billing system or sync module. If you want to keep WHMCS, Blesta or FossBilling, they can drive NexoVirt through the REST API instead. A ready-made WHMCS module is not shipped.

Which payment methods does the shop support?

Card payments through Stripe and payments through PayPal. Per product you choose a recurring subscription, a prepaid balance or the customer's choice. Payment always happens on the gateway's own checkout page, so no card data reaches your panel.

Does NexoVirt create invoices with the right VAT?

Yes, when you turn invoices on: one numbered invoice per payment as a PDF, with domestic VAT, EU OSS rates, reverse charge after a VIES check of the VAT ID, export outside the EU, or small business without VAT. Refunds get a credit note, and invoices export per month as CSV or ZIP.

Can I sell VPS on Proxmox from my WordPress site?

Yes. The storefront publishes your plans, prices, billing periods, locations and OS catalog, and the NexoVirt Storefront plugin for WordPress shows them as pricing cards with Order buttons. The sign-up form can sit on your WordPress page too; checkout and setup run in your portal.

Can customers cancel online?

Yes. Customers cancel in the portal and the server keeps running until its paid date. For Germany there is a public "cancel contracts here" page as § 312k BGB requires, where the customer confirms the cancellation through a one-time link sent by email.

Which NexoVirt plan includes the shop?

The shop, payments and invoices are part of the Business and Unlimited plans. Unlimited adds the reseller tier, so partners can run their own shop under their brand. The plans are flat monthly prices with unlimited VMs, never a fee per VM you sell.
