Alerts & notifications

Rule-based alerting delivered to an in-panel inbox, email and webhooks, plus transactional email.

Alert rules

NexoVirt evaluates rules against the metrics, inventory and events it already collects: no extra load on Proxmox. Built-in rule types include guest down, node unreachable, sustained high CPU / memory / disk, an unhealthy agent, and plan traffic / expiry. Rules can be global or scoped to a host, node or guest, with thresholds, durations, severities and a re-notify cooldown. Individual guests can be muted.

Delivery channels

Inbox

An in-panel alerts inbox with acknowledge / resolve and a sidebar bell count.

Email

Fired and resolved alerts go out through the mail outbox to your configured recipients.

Webhook

Multiple endpoints, each with its own provider and severity / type filters.

Webhook providers

Send alerts to your chat tools through webhooks. Each endpoint chooses which severities and event types it receives and which provider format to use:

  • Generic JSON: an { event, alert } envelope you can route anywhere.
  • Discord: a severity-coloured rich embed.
  • Google Chat / Workspace: a native card.

A live example payload in Settings shows the exact shape before you save, and the provider is auto-detected from the URL.

Transactional email

Configure SMTP, branding (logo and company details) and per-event email templates under Settings → Email, with a live preview as you edit. NexoVirt sends emails for events like welcome, password reset, server created (with credentials and IP), and plan suspension / deletion / resume / expiry warnings. Mail is best-effort: if it's turned off or misconfigured it never blocks the action that triggered it.
